These are special images for me. As a youngster I was privilaged to listen to my parents record collection, which included some of his songs. When I wanted to create visual memories as a diary, I had to include him in my work. Colourful, exciting and dynamic was my catchphrase. As a print this one was me using a regular inkjet printer but only one colour at a time. This meant that there was excitement as colours overlapped or misregistered. The unexpected was an important part of the process. It also meant that no two prints were ever the same.
