Green Button Giclée Print – Fine Art Print by Stuart Hicking
A fine art giclée print featuring eight teal buttons threaded with black thread, arranged in two vertical columns atop a red and white playing card.
This piece is part of an ongoing series exploring everyday objects. The buttons, uniform yet imperfect, evoke repetition, decision-making, and the tactile rituals of making and mending.
Growing up, there was always a biscuit tin of buttons in the house—kept by my mum for sewing, saving, and improvising. They weren’t just practical; they were currency for play, tokens for imaginary shops, and the occasional bracelet or necklace. This print carries that memory forward—not as nostalgia, but as a kind of visual logic.
Printed using pigment inks on acid-free archival paper, the giclée process captures every detail with clarity and depth. Available in A5, A4, A3, and A2 sizes. Each print is signed and unframed.
